VISITORS

Visitors

Tyrrells Wood is a traditional members’ golf club located on the edge of the North Downs amid the picturesque Surrey countryside with views to Windsor Castle and beyond.

Extensive planting in the late 1800’s began a transformation of the original open downland estate which continues, through our own Arboreal Group, to the present day.

James Braid, one of the Great Triumvirate, took full advantage of this landscape in his early 1920’s design for the course.  Subsequently, playability was improved by adopting the advice of Harry Colt, another foremost golf course architect of the time.

In the comfort of our Grade II listed clubhouse, full bar and catering facilities are available.  The lounge bar has recently been completely refurbished and extended to provide function room facilities.  Our Restaurant, which can seat parties of up to 120, incorporates a Coffee Shop and together with “The Nineteenth Hole” provides an extensive choice of food, ranging from light snacks to three and four course meals.

Steeped in history but with a distinctly modern approach and friendly atmosphere we offer all you would expect from one of Surrey’s top clubs for your individual, society or corporate golf day, business or private function. Conveniently situated midway between Gatwick and Heathrow airports, we are just a few minutes drive from Junction 9 of the M25 motorway.

For further information regarding the above packages or tee availability then please visit the relevant pages on this site or contact the secretary who will be more than happy to assist you.
