The only short hole in this half is the Sixteenth,
204 yards to a well-guarded green built on a falling
slope. An elevated tee looks down on this longest
of the Par 3’s. A shot long enough to carry the
cross bunker with its attendant Junipers can easily
end in other large bunkers on either side of the
green, or in a sharp grassy drop at the back
finishing in a clump of trees. The timid may choose
to avoid the sand by landing to the right but this
will need an accurate pitch if par is to be
achieved.
Pro's
Tip
Longish
par 3 downhill to a narrow green.
Perhaps
the best guarded green with numerous deep bunkers lying in
wait to catch all but the straightest of shots.
A
dangerous hole.
