The Fifteenth is a
299 yard Par 4 and another dog-leg to the right. A
drive to the right of the fairway which slopes
slightly in that direction, puts a thick and high
wooded spinney between the ball and the hole. Even
a good drive to the left of the fairway leaves a
tricky shot to the long shelf-like green, which is
bounded on the right by a fairly deep rough grass
pit. Cunningly placed bunkers to the front and left
of the green discourage the weak approach shot or
the one aimed at using the natural contours to bring
the ball down onto a green which has probably the
most difficult putting surface of the eighteen
holes.
Pro's
Tip
Played
conservatively this clever short par 4 offers a
birdie
chance, however a
bogey
is never far away.
After
finding the fairway take care to hit plenty of club for your
second as it plays further than it looks, but any shot that
strays left will find serious trouble.
The
longest of hitters may fancy a shy at the green. |
