A beautiful, but
daunting, golf hole - particularly from the back tee
- that is the Fourteenth. Playing this 409 yard Par
4 requires a great degree of accuracy. The trees
come in very close at the teeing area, while the
fairway falls away to the left into a great copse of
Beech bordering the road. The drive is downhill
over cross bunkers and should finish on the left
(but not in the trees) as that gives an easier
approach to a long green guarded by bunkers at front
left and right. There is a steep fall to the left
and over the back of the green. The fall of the
ground approaching the green tends to turn the ball
sharply to the left so that the approach from the
right is tricky and needs to be accurately placed.

Tip
A stunning
par 4 from an elevated tee.

A good
drive avoiding the bunkers will leave a mid-iron to a long
green, once again heavily guarded. |
