For many years this green was played as the First.
Now played as the Tenth, it heralds the start of the
homeward and, perhaps, more difficult half of the
course - although the Index 18 might lead you to
believe otherwise. A 336 yard Par 4, the driving
area is narrowed by an Ash on the left and an Oak on
the right. Fairway bunkers left and right catch
many a tee shot and a sliced drive over the big Yew
tree can find some unpleasant rough. The green
falls from the left and is protected by a bunker on
the right so the shot in, whilst it may be short,
must be accurate to make par or better.
Pro's
Tip
Perhaps
the best chance of a
birdie
on the back nine.
Running
alongside the first, a downhill drive threaded between two
well-placed bunkers leaves a pitch which, if played left of
the flag, should leave a great chance for a three!
